Hercules - L100-30 - Specifications
|
The universally recognized and versatile applications of the Hercules L100-30 aircraft, coupled with SAFAIR's extensive experience in flight operational and ground support capabilities, have ensured ongoing success in meeting our customers requirements. Even when suitably prepared or secure landing strips are not available, SAFAIR is capable of performing freight drops from the air. Freight is delivered with 99% accuracy using SAFAIR's specialized drop techniques and equipment.
SAFAIR's internally developed air delivery system, "Snowdrop", enables us to deliver as many as 80 000 food sachets that will evenly float to the ground over a 2km zone within 5 minutes without causing bodily harm on impact. The "Snowdrop" system was developed by SAFAIR as a project with and for the United Nations World Food Program.
