Heston Training Services (HTS) is a specialist training and technical services organization serving the oil and gas industries and commercial organisations world wide, with particular emphasis on the Middle East.

Supply of Training Personnel

We are able to provide Trainers of all disciplines–Technical (Operations, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation), Management and HSE. Depending upon the client’s requirements personnel can be sourced for short, medium and long term assignments, whilst minimising mobilisation times by utilizing Heston’s local personnel database. Bilingual Trainers are available if a requirement of the project.

Training Courses /Manuals

We conduct a wide range of short technical courses, management courses and HSE courses. Courses can be conducted at our facilities or at the client’s location. HTS offer a comprehensive documentation service and are able to produce Plant specific training courses and training materials. This can be done either in-house or at a client’s premises using experienced technical authors. Material developed can be produced in any language.

Multimedia Training

To enable our clients to have access to the latest advances in multimedia training HTS can develop and produce new multimedia courses on interactive CD ROMs. We can also convert existing paper based courses to CBT material.

Production of Technical Documentation

Again, our documentation service can produce Plant specific Operating Procedures, Quality Assurance Procedures, Maintenance Procedures, Commissioning Procedures and Safe Working Practices. The documentation can be produced at our offices or we can supply a team of technical authors and illustrators to work at a client’s premises. Material developed can be produced in any language.

Competency Assessment Systems

An ever increasing requirement is for companies to be able to demonstrate that their employees are competent to perform the duties of their current position, HTS can develop and implement Plant specific Competency Assessment Systems to meet this requirement. HTS can also provide training and assessment in a range of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs). NVQs show that the people holding these certificates are competent at their jobs. They are available for virtually all occupations including technicians, engineers, training personnel, safety officers, administrators and of course, managers. NVQs are based on internationally recognised occupational standards, which clearly describe what is expected of people working in various occupations. They provide criteria to assess whether someone is performing competently, and they specify the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills, which are essential for competent performance.
