THE HESTON GROUP OVERVIEW

Heston Ltd (Middle East) was formed over 35 years ago, primarily to provide Human Resource Solutions to the Hydrocarbon Industry throughout the Middle East. Whilst outsourcing contract personnel has remained the core focus, Heston (Middle East) Ltd. has evolved into Heston Group, a broad resource provider.
 
In addition to National Oil Company, International Oil Company and EPC clients, our versatility, rapid deployment & life support techniques have allowed us to expand into Government, Prime Contractors and NGO’s in all operational environments. These aspects coupled with our prime geographical location has allowed us to develop into one of the foremost organisations of our kind in the region.
 
With an ever expanding database of over 1,000,000 technical and professional personnel, we are able to offer unrivaled opportunities to jobseekers in addition to clients seeking extensive manpower.

HISTORY

The Heston Group has been on the ground since 1981.

  • Heston relocates to the Isle Of Man and Heston (Middle East) Ltd is created to oversee all ongoing contracts in the Middle East region, as a separate entity from the Heston UK Operation.

    May 1987

    April 1981

    A UK based company, Heston enters the Middle East market with its Founding Member and now Non- Executive Director, Tim Holdway, and then partner Andrew Hedges.

    A Loaned Personnel Contract with Bapco in Bahrain is awarded alongside a contract with Al Furat Petroleum Company (AFPC), a JV between Shell and the Government in Syria.

  • Heston sign a major contract with Kuwait National Petroleum Co. (KNPC) for the provision of skilled manpower and technical support in support of downstream operations.

    March 1991

    Tim Holdway leads a buy-out of Heston (Middle East) Ltd and successfully retains the company name. He also leads a team to establish a branch of HME in Kuwait.

  • In Bahrain, Heston, still operating under the local trading name of Al Maharah Co. re-brands to form Heston International Co. and continues running contracts with Bahrain Petroleum, Bahrain National Oil Co., Tebodin and ALBA.

    January 1996

    Heston is awarded a contract by Petrochemical Industries Co (PIC) for the provision of engineering personnel to the Polypropolene Project in Shuaiba, Kuwait.

    February 1996

    Heston set up a local company in Kuwait called Heston Kuwait Trading Co.

  • Equate Petrochemicals Ltd awards a contract to Heston Kuwait for the provision of senior personnel in support of operations at Shuaiba, Kuwait.

    January 2005

    May 2003

    Heston Kuwait Co. awarded multiple manpower and logistics contracts by KBR as part of the LOGCAP III program in support of the US Military in Iraq & Kuwait.

    July 2003

    Heston Jordan established in Amman and Aqaba. Awarded contracts with KBR in support of the US Military logistics activity in Jordan and Iraq.

  • Heston Kuwait signs contract with Joint Operations Wafra and Saudi Arabian Chevron for the provision of upstream and downstream technical personnel.

    September 2006

    The US Defence Logistics Agency (DLA) awards Property & Facilities Management Support Contract for it’s operation at Camp Arifjan to Heston Kuwait.

  • Heston Kuwait sign with Excelerate Energy for the provision of Technical personnel for the construction of new LNG facility in Kuwait.

    July 2009

    January 2008

    Hyundai Engineering & Construction sign with Heston for the provision of technical personnel for the construction of a new oil export facility in Kuwait.

  • Heston Afghanistan is formed to oversee a contract award by US company Safeports, for the provision of specialist personnel at various locations in Afghanistan.

    January 2011

    June 2010

    Heston is awarded a contract by Civilian Police International on behalf of the US State Department, to provide skilled Legal Personnel in support of a Judicial Programme in Baghdad, Iraq.

    June 2010

    Heston secure an important contract with Iraq Drilling Company providing personnel for upstream operations in Southern Iraq.

    November 2010

    Heston awarded Base-Support Contract by KBR to provide skilled personnel in support of US Military Activity at Sheikh Isa Airbase in Bahrain.

    Heston awarded contract by G4S Government Solutions Inc. to private skilled personnel in support of the US Navy Command at Mina Sulman in Bahrain

    May 2012

    Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company signs a contract with Heston Kuwait for the provision of manpower & technical support services for positions worldwide.

    June 2012

    Heston Bahrain awarded contract with Tatweer Petroleum for the provision of skilled personnel in support of Exploration Projects in the Awali Oilfield.

  • Heston European Services Co. formed in Bulgaria to offer support to local and regional Oil & Gas Industry and US Military activity.

    October 2016

    January 2013

    Kuwait National Focal Point sign a contract with Heston Kuwait for the provision of technical manpower.

    March 2013

    Kuwait National Petroleum Co. award Heston a Direct Recruitment Services contract, to supplement the long running manpower provision contract.

    June 2013

    Kuwait National Petroleum Co. award Heston a Direct Recruitment Services contract, to supplement the long running manpower provision contract.

    Heston Group awarded contract with KBR in Djibouti providing skilled personnel in support of US Military activity at Camp Lemonnier.

    Heston Kuwait sign a long-term agreement with Kuwait Integrated Petrochemical Industries Company for the provision of skilled manpower in support of downstream and construction operations.

Reaching the milestone of 35 years since I took over the company has led me to reflect on those early days and what we have achieved a quarter of a century later.

A quick and good comparison are hours worked.
